Lofoten is a beautiful place where you could experience midnight sun, great fishing and of course lots of opportunities for photography (this photo was taken from the ferry to Lofoten, leaving Bodo, well past midnight). Whale watching in Andenes is something we highly recommend.

Yesterday was windy and cold and many of the smaller birds had a tough time at the feeders. The light was nice and luckily I was able to sit in a spot away from the wind.         /Sven      

Since I work as an environmental consultant here in Sweden I tend to read and reflect on a lot of different environmental problems. There is a big discussion going on about the greenhouse effect and the rising of sea levels and how that will effect the lives of millions if not billions of people. Unfortunately there is not as much or as unified discussion on the other big threat in this world. We are slowly but surely poisoning this planet....
