Not a very common woodpecker and not very shy. This time sitting a bit high in the tree.

No more than 4 degrees Celsius and a biting wind. The common Sandpiper fights for territory.

It’s a great time for Astro photographers. Light pollution is less pronounced and the sky is clear du to minimal air traffic. Here is a picture of the moon, sharper than ever.

Long time since last post. I haven’t had time for much shooting lately but I’m starting tom miss it. Here are some photos from the last two times I went out. All of them shot with the 1dx and 300 mm 2.8 IS II.
