Sometimes you want the extra reach. In this particular case i only had the 300 f/2.8 paired with my 1dx mk II. The original image is not to impressive but i think that super resolution did a fantastic job of enhancing it. I could not read what was written on the rings though. It was underexposed, and lifting shadows created too much noise. Thus discarded. Forward to 2024 and we have Enhance and Sky replacement in Lightroom and Photoshop.
